Meghalaya Governor turns Raj Bhavan into a ‘young ladies club’

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Governor V. Shanmuganathan (67) resigned on Thursday night, after facing sexual harassment charges.

State CM Mukul Sangma had said earlier in the day that he was waiting for PM Modi and the Home Ministry to take a call.

The Guv resigned after a section of Raj Bhavan employees demanded his removal for seriously compromising the dignity of the state governor office.

The staffs had alleged that Mr. Shanmuganathan had made the Raj Bhavan a ‘young ladies club.’
