Mutilation strong act of provocation :MEA
While the country continues to express outrage at the mutilation of the bodies of two Indian soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir, Government has once again given a tough message to Pakistan.
After sending out a stern message to Pakistan at the DGMO level on Tuesday, On Wednesday a similar message was sent out at the diplomatic level by the Ministry of External Affairs.
Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar summoned Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit and conveyed India’s outrage at the incident.
India pointed out that the Pakistan Army was clearly behind this provocation. India told Pakistan that it had very strong evidence of the Pakistan army carrying out the operation by crossing the Line of Control.
India demanded that action should be taken against those soldiers and commanders responsible for the attack.
Defence Minister Arun Jaitley has dismissed Pakistan’s denial…saying it carries no credibility.
On May 1, the Pakistan Army and its Border Action Team had entered 250 meters inside Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir and killed Naeb Subedar – Paramjit Singh and BSF head constable Prem Sagar.
There has been outrage across the country since then and people have been demanding revenge.
On Wednesday too there were demonstrations against Pakistan in many parts of the country.
Terrorists robbed three to four lakh rupees from a bank in Pulwama district of South Kashmir.
This is the third such attack in the last three days.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Rajnath Singh chaired an important meeting on internal security, in which Kashmir was discussed in detail.
Senior officials of the Home Ministry, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, IB Chief, Raw Chief, and Home Secretary, were present.
On Tuesday, Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra had met Home Minister Rajnath Singh and talked about the situation in the state.
Meanwhile, Government has made it clear that it has full faith in the army, which had been given the right to respond at a time and place of its choosing.
India has been a victim of cross border terrorism for four decades and the government has continued in its campaign to diplomatically isolate Pakistan.
The government’s efforts had succeded in putting internatial pressure on Pakistan after Pathankot terror attack.
The International community stands united against terrorism, realizing that it is a threat to peace and stability and should be eliminated.
There is no change in the stand of the world community.
They stand with Indian against terrorism in all its forms.
But Pakistan does not understand this.
