U.S. designates Hizbul chief Syed Salahuddin as global terrorist
In a big blow to terrorism perpetrated by Pakistan through terror outfits, the US State Department on Monday designated Pakistan-based Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin as a global terrorist.
The announcement came just a few hours before PM Modi’s first meeting with President Donald Trump.
As a consequence of this designation, US citizens are generally prohibited from engaging in transactions Salahuddin and all of Salahuddin’s property and interests in property subject to United States jurisdiction are blocked.
