3-day Raisina dialogue begins
For the first time a foreign head of state has participated in Raisaina dialogue. The three day conference will brainstorm on several challenges and various strategic issues, including that of cyber security.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stressed on strengthening the partnership between India and Israel to tackle global challenges such as terrorism.Delivering the inaugural speech at India’s flagship geo-political conference the Raisina Dialogue.
The Israeli leader praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, and said India and Israel can emerge stronger militarily and economically through their shared values, based on democracy and innovation. The theme of Raisina Dialogue is Managing Disruptive Transitions – Ideas, Institutions and Idioms.
Netanyahu also lauded Indian democracy and praised the reform policies undertaken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. External affairs minister sushma swaraj will deliver plenary address today.
The Summit is witnessing participation of over 150 speakers and 550 representatives from 90 countries.
