Indian Ambassador to US on visit to West Coast of US
Indian Ambassador to the United States Navtej Sarna is on a visit to the West Coast of the US.
He addressed the Indian-American community in Los Angeles and applauded their dynamism and philanthropy. He highlighted India’s economic growth and ambition.
Ambassador also John Chambers,Chairman Emeritus of Cisco in the San Francisco Bay Area to discuss digital partnerships and trade between India and the US.
Navtej Sarna earlier visited Bancroft, Doe and the South/Southeast Asia at Berkeley Library in University of California on Monday.
The Ambassador, who is a scholar of the Sikh religion, viewed parts of the South Asians in North America Collection, which is housed in Bancroft, and other Library holdings on Sikhism.
Sarna is also a fiction writer, and four of his works are held at the Library.
