PM Modi launches three key projects in Arunachal Pradesh
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched several projects in Arunachal Pradesh and later, will also address several rallies in poll-bound Tripura on Thursday.
He inaugurated the Dorjee Khandu state convention centre at a function in Itanagar. The Centre has an auditorium, conference halls and an exhibition hall.
Prime Minister’s focus was also on the information revolution and now, the newly erected Secretariat building in the state capital is a big step in that direction.
The building will have digital technology at its core and will have 2,500 officers and other employees. It will give a huge boost to the speed of administrative work in the state.
Prime Minister has also laid a lot of emphasis on good governance for the rapid development of the poor and the underprivileged.
Another gift to the people taking infrastructure development forward in Arunachal will be the new auditorium which can seat over a thousand people. Built at a cost of Rs. 70 crore, Prime Minister also inaugurated the auditorium.
He dedicated to the nation the state civil secretariat building, and laid the foundation stone of the academic block of the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Science. The coming academic session will see MBBS classes commencing.
The college has a 300 bedded hospital linked to it which will soon be hiked to 500.
It was in February 2015 that Prime Minister Narendra Modi travelled to Arunachal Pradesh for the first time. From Arunachal Pradesh, Prime Minister Modi will proceed to Tripura where he will address several rallies.
