President Kovind conferred highest civilian honour of Swaziland

President Ram Nath Kovind is now on the second leg of his 3 nation Africa tour having arrived at Swaziland. He will be addressing the Swaziland Parliament on Tuesday.

President Kovind was received by PM Barnabas Sibusisu Dlamini. He also had a meeting with the King of Swaziland at the Lozitha Palace where an agreement was signed pertaining to visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports and an MoU was also signed on cooperation in the field of health and medicine.

President Ramnath Kovind was also conferred highest civilian honour of Swaziland.

The visit aims to further deepen India’s relations with the African nations. President Ram Nath Kovind has called for a comprehensive global strategy to eradicate terrorism.

Addressing the Equatorial Guinean Parliament at Malabo on Sunday night, the President said, terrorism is a global challenge, but it is being dealt with in a piece meal manner. He sought Equatorial Guinea’s support for early adoption of the Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism at the United Nations.

Later addressing the Indian community in Malabo, the president said every member of the Indian community is critical to strengthening relations between India and Equatorial Guinea. He also urged the Indian community to help enhance business and cultural links between the two countries.
