Defence Minister of India dedicates Hussainiwala bridge to the Nation

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman dedicates to Nation permanent bridge at Hussainiwala border in Punjab, pays tributes to Sardar Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru.

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday dedicated strategically important historic bridge at Hussainiwala, Punjab to the nation.

The 250-feet-long bridge, which was destroyed during 1971 Indo-Pak war, will connect Ferozpur with Hussainiwala barrage.

Sitharaman appreciated Border Roads Organisation for completing the construction of the Hussainiwala bridge ahead of the schedule in 2019.

The bridge will help people living in 10 villages of Hussainiwala Enclave near Pakistan border, and also facilitate better movement of army vehicles.
