PM Modi unveils bust of Mahatma Gandhi in Seoul, South Korea

As part of the celebrations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a bust of Mahatma Gandhi at the Seoul Campus of the Yonsei University which is one of the premier universities of South Korea.President Moon Jae-In and Former Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki Moon were also present on the occasion.
Prime Minister said that Bapu’s teachings and his life lessons will always remain relevant.
President Moon Jae-In too said that Mahatma Gandhi’s message of peace and non violence holds great resonance today.
Former Secretary General of UN Ban Ki Moon also spoke of the seven sins as spelt out by Mahatma Gandhi that continue to inspire all.Ban Ki Moon recalled his connection with India that goes back to 1977 when he began his diplomatic career.
He hailed PM Modi as a statesman who stood by the United Nations on several fronts.Indians in Seoul described the unveiling of the statue as a matter of honour.
