Nepal’s Tourism and Culture Minister and 6 others died in Helicopter crash

Nepal’s Tourism and Aviation Minister Rabindra Adhikari and six others died in a helicopter crash in Taplejung district on Wednesday.

The chopper was carrying seven people including Minister Adhikari, a prominent aviation & hospitality entrepreneur of Nepal Ang Tsering Sherpa and Yubaraj Dahal, a personal aide to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. Nepal police Spokesperson Uttamraj Subedi told AIR that all seven bodies have been recovered. The team had gone for a feasibility study for an airstrip in Chuhandanda in neighbouring Tehrathum district.
