Those raising doubt on airstrike are demoralising forces: Arun Jaitley
Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has praised the air strike conducted by the IAF targeting terror camps in Pakistan after the terror attack in Pulwama that claimed the lives of 40 CRPF jawans.
Hitting out at those raising questions on the air strike, the minister said they are trying to demoralise the forces and they must stand with the brave forces against the menace of terror.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said those raising unwanted doubts must know that the task of a pilot is to destroy the targets and not count the number of casualities.
BJP and the government have hit back at Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on the Rafale documents. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley hit out at him saying this is a diversionary tactic to divert attention from the crucial subject of national security. Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said if the Congress president does not believe in the air force and the CAG, does that mean he wants to believe Pakistan?
The government has said the country’s top court has made it clear in its observation that there are no irregularities in the buying process of Rafale and CAG has also not found anything wrong but the Congress is presenting inaccurate facts.
The government has told the court that the documents pertaining to Rafale deal have been stolen from the defence ministry.
The government said that those responsible for making these crucial documents public are guilty of violating the official secrets act and dishonoring the court.
