Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale embarks on a two day visit to Nepal
Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale will embark on a two day visit to Nepal on Thursday. After reaching Kathmandu, Foreign Secretary will have bilateral meeting with his Nepalese counterpart Shankar Das Bairagi on Thursday morning.
The two Foreign Secretaries will discuss wide range of bilateral issues. They are expected to asses progress of various projects including Motihari-Amlekhgunj oil pipeline, Railways and Aurn III Hydro power Project.
In the wake of last month’s terror attack in Pulwama, the issue of combating terrorism is also likely to be discussed.
Later in the day Foreign Secretary will pay courtesy call to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali. Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale will return to New Delhi on Friday afternoon.
