PM Modi visits Varanasi after historic win in Lok Sabha Polls
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits his parliamentary constituency Varanasi after his historic win; interacts with party workers at the Deendayal Hasta-kala Sankul, says “Chemistry triumphed over poll arithmetic in Lok Sabha elections; gives the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Avsar; Offers prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
After landing at the police line helipad in Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi headed to the Kashi Vishwanath temple to offer prayers. This is his first visit to the holy city after he retained his seat winning by nearly 5 lakh votes. People lined the narrow streets leading up to the temple to catch a glimpse of their MP and the Prime Minister of India. Many showered rose petals and even broke into a song and dance to welcome him. The mood was festive to say the least.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath temple. He performed rudra-abhishek after taking the sankalp or pledge as per traditions. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and houses one of the 12 jyotirlingas. It is one of the most important pilgrimages for Hindus, especially Shaivites. An LED screen has been installed at the entrance of Kashi Vishwanath Temple which live stream-ed visuals as PM Narendra Modi offered prayers. BJP President Amit Shah and UP CM Yogi Adityanath accompanied Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with party workers and people of Varanasi at the Deendayal Hastakala Sankul. This trade facilitation Centre is an outcome of PM Modi’s vision. He inaugurated it in September 2017 with the intention of making it a trading hub for the artisans of Varanasi. Prime Minister Modi thanked BJP karyakartas for their commitment and hard work that resulted in the massive win for him. PM urged them to continue their efforts towards developing Kashi while retaining the ancient flavour of the city.
PM said that he will always remain a karyakarta. He said that he was confident of the outcome of the Lok Sabha polls because of the love and support he got from Karyakartas. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also thanked all the other contestants, the administration as well as the media for their efforts. He said that this election saw the chemistry amongst people in the polity defeating electoral maths.
PM Modi asserted that the BJP stands to unite the nation and not divide it like previous governments. He said that the party has been a victim of political violence and has been portrayed as an untouchable party. But it continues to stand for the welfare of all, shunning vote bank politics. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached out to the opposition to end politics of violence.\

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath also said that the Prime Minister has always led by example. He said that PM Modi did not allow hurdles to slow him down.
