Nepal celebrates 5th International Day of Yoga
5th International Day of Yoga celebrated with hundreds of programmes being organised across the Himalayan nation on Friday.
Our correspondent reports, hundreds of Yoga enthusiasts including Prime Minister K. P. Sharma Oli and Deputy Prime Minister Upendra Yadav participating in Yoga Day celebrations. “Government of Nepal organised a morning procession in capital Kathmandu to celebrate International Day of Yoga. The main function is being held at the city centre in Kathmandu where Yoga practice and preaching programme will be organised. Prime Minister K. P. Sharma Oli, Indian Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri and other dignitaries participating in the event.
In historic Janakpur city, hundreds of Yoga enthusiasts joined celebration early in the morning at the famous Janaki temple. In the evening Yoga Utsav will also be held in temple premises. Patanjali Yogpeeth Nepal and many other institutions organising more than two hundred programmes in all 77 districts of the Himalayan nation.
