World leaders gather for G7 Summit in France

French President Emmanuel Macron welcomes the G 7 leaders to kick off the G 7 summit in French coastal town Biarritz.

President Macron gathered the leaders and their spouses in a lighthouse for the dinner meeting.

Macron has set up the agenda of defence, democracy, gender equality, education and environment for the G 7 meet.

He has also invited Asian, African and Latin American leaders to join them for a global push on these issues
