Record rainfall caused flooding in south-eastern Spain
Spain has been lashed by two consecutive days of torrential rain, causing floods that have so far claimed at least six lives. Over 3,500 people had to be evacuated to safer places.
The deadly floods swept away cars and decimated buildings in the regions of south-eastern parts of the country.
Thousands of police, fire-fighters and soldiers are working round the clock to help those affected.
Meanwhile, weather conditions are now beginning to stabilise and are expected to improve over the coming days.
