PM Modi awards winners of 2nd Indo-Singapore Joint Hackathon in Chennai
Prime Minister Narendra Modi awarded the winners of the second Indo-Singapore Joint Hackathon in Chennai.
The first Hackathon was held in 2018. The concept is a brain child of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Congratulating the winners of the Hackathon, Prime Minister Modi said that his government is encouraging Innovation and Incubation for two big reasons, One is for providing easy solutions to solve India’s problems and second is to make life easier.
On his day long visit to Chennai, Prime Minister Modi referred to Tamil, the world’s oldest language. PM Modi’s emphasis on Tamil has a simple message.
Languages are our cultural heritage that weave together the old with the new.
Even during his week long visit to the USA, both at Houston and in New York at the UN general Assembly, Tamil found a special mention in Prime Minister Modi’s address.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the chief guest at the 56th convocation of IIT-Madras as well.
He gave away awards of excellence to deserving students. Addressing the gathering, he said IIT Madras is a prime example of how a decades old institution can transform itself to meet the needs and aspirations of the 21st century.
