India builds school in Nepal

Indian Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri inaugurated new building of Shree Mahendra Model HS School, Khalanga today.

The new infrastructure constructed with the Government of India’s grant assistance of 30 million Nepali rupees is a two storied building comprising 13 class rooms, meeting hall, separate sanitation facilities for boys and girls on each floor and furniture.

Upendra Yadav,Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister of Nepal, was also present on the occasion.Shree Mahendra Model Higher Secondary School was established in 1960 which provides primary to 10+2 level programs with moderate fees structure. The school has over 2000 students, about 50% of whom are girls.
