PM Modi addresses Hindustan Times Leadership Summit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that conversations play an important role for any country to have a direction and for the people to progress as it lays the foundation for a better tomorrow.
Addressing the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit in New Delhi on Friday, the Prime Minister said, the government is working towards addressing the challenges that have been lingering for decades. Prime Minister Modi said, the people of the country voted the BJP to power and the vision of sabka saath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwaas led to our victory.
Referring to the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Indian citizenship for those facing persecution in their home countries will ensure that they get a better tomorrow. Speaking at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit,Prime Minister Modi also said although a lot of apprehensions were expressed ahead of the Supreme Court’s Ayodhya verdict, after it was pronounced, the people of the country proved all such apprehensions wrong.
Referring to the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution, the prime minister said the decision might seem a politically difficult one, but it had raised a new hope of development for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
He said, the decision taken to regularise Delhi’s unauthorised colonies also paved the way for a better future of 40 lakh people. He said, Ram Janmabhoomi verdict is also a step towards a better future which proved that we can have a better tomorrow and we cannot be chained by the past.
