Chushul Border post : India-China Corps Commander-level talks to be held today

The fourth round of Commander-level talks between India and China will take place on Tuesday at Chushul Border post in Eastern Ladakh.

The last meeting also was held at the same venue on 30th June. Army sources said, the talks mainly focus on the second phase of disengagement along the Line of Actual Control, to follow up the work in progress, the army commanders are meeting today.

The meeting between the Army commanders is important after the conservation between the National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, on 5th July. In the meeting they have agreed that both sides should complete the ongoing disengagement process along the LAC, to de-escalate the tensions in the region. The PLA has already retreated back as per the agreement, by two kilometres in the friction points like Galwan valley, Gogra and Hot Springs. Similarly, the Indian side also has moved back as per the mutual disengagement agreed upon during the last Corps Commander-level talks.
