Foreign Ministers of the four quad-countries – India, US, Australia and Japan to meet in Tokyo today
The Foreign Ministry said it would discuss the post-COVID-19 international order and the need for a coordinated response to the various challenges posed by the epidemic.
The four ministers will also discuss regional issues and collectively affirm the importance of free, open and comprehensive Indo-Pacific management.
The foreign ministers of the four quad-countries – Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, US Secretary of State Mike Pompey, Australian Foreign Minister Maurice Payne, and Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi – will attend the face-to-face meeting, the first of the 19 epidemics between the COVID.
This is the second time such a quad has met with foreign ministers. In 2019, all the foreign ministers of the four countries met during the United Nations General Assembly.
