160,000 new cases a day in US
The United States on Tuesday reported 160,000 new coronavirus cases as the runaway pandedemic spread across the country.
According to Johns Hopkins University statistics, Tuesday at 16:25 U.S. By Eastern time, the country had increased its caseload to 10,205,207, including a total of 239,274 deaths.
America is the most vulnerable country in the world in terms of all confirmed cases and deaths. Speaking to Cable News Network (CNN) on Monday, Michael Osterhome, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, estimated that the United States would face 200,000 new cases a day in the coming weeks.
Scott Gottlieb, former commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, warned that the coronavirus pandemic was “bursting” across the United States, with the country registering 10 million coronavirus cases on Monday, a terrible milestone 10 days after reaching nine.
