19 Bangladeshi fishermen rescued by India Coast Guard

The Indian Coast Guard rescued 19 Bangladeshi fishermen stranded in the Bay of Bengal on Tuesday due to a mechanical snag on their boat. The boat has been hovering in the Bay of Bengal for 10 days.

A Bangladeshi fishing boat ‘Rana’ is floating in the sea due to a mechanical breakdown. It was towed by the Indian Coast Guard ship Varad South East from the port of Paradip.
The Indian Coast Guard said it had rescued Bangladeshi fishermen in a maritime and air coordination operation and provided them with first aid, food and water.
