Virtual summit between PM Modi and Uzbek President Shaukat Mirziyoyev on Friday
A virtual summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will take place on 11 December 2020.

This is the first bilateral ‘Virtual Summit’ between India and Central Asia. The leaders will discuss the whole spectrum of bilateral relations in the post-COVID world, including strengthening India-Uzbekistan cooperation. They exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.

India and Uzbekistan have maintained high-level exchanges in recent times. Prime Minister Modi’s visits to Uzbekistan in 2015 and 2016 and President Mirziyoyev’s visits to India in 2018 and 2019 provided a new impetus for strategic partnership.

Many government-government agreements / memoranda of understanding end on par with the Virtual Summit.
