UNESCO will launch an international prize named after Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib
UNESCO has decided to launch an international award in the field of ‘creative economy’ in the name of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. From November 2021, the $ 50,000 award will be given to young people every two years for global economic activities.
According to UNESCO, the International Award creates a mechanism for sharing knowledge by capturing, celebrating and communicating best practice in the development of creative entrepreneurship. Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) cites UNESCO in its Facebook release recognizing the award for outstanding initiatives taken by cultural workers and organizations in the development of the creative economy.
