Republic Day celebrated in Bangladesh

The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated at Dhaka in Bangladesh on Tuesday. High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Vikram Doraiswami hoisted the flag in the chancery premises.

After the flag hoisting ceremony, the High Commissioner read out parts of the President’s address to the nation delivered on the eve of Republic Day.

Members of the Indian Community in Dhaka participated in the event. High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami interacted with the Indian community members who had gathered to celebrate the Republic Day.
Interacting with the media on the occasion, High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami said that India believes that both India and Bangladesh must progress together.
