Hindutva policy:USA questions External Foreign Minister
Attempts are being made to misrepresent the central government at the international level, Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar said at a consultative meeting in the United States. He was responding to a question on Hindutva policy.
Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar has left for the US on a five-day visit. This is Jaisankar’s first long trip since Biden’s inauguration as US president. Jaisankar is expected to advise on a number of issues, from the corona vaccine to border security.
In this context, Jaisankar attended a consultative meeting with McMaster, a former national security adviser in the United States, and answered questions. Speaking at a Hoover seminar, McMaster questioned him about the federal government’s Hindutva policy.
Responding to a question on whether the Indian central government was pursuing a radical Hindutva policy, Jaisankar said efforts were being made to portray the central government in a different way internationally. The appearance of the federal government is misrepresented on the outside. But the real system of government is different.
The actual administration of the central government is of a different kind. India and the Indian people have always respected democracy. People will not accept politics other than democracy. Prior to this, the politics of voting on behalf of the religion, race and identity of the people was going on. We have come a long way from that
