Revocation of Article 370 gives new life to Valmikis: Kavindra

Jammu, 28 October: The abrogation of Article 370 from the erstwhile state has given a new lease of life to members of the Valmiki community, who live on land that was allotted to their ancestors when they migrated to Jammu in 1957 from Gurdaspur district at the invitation of the then state government. Were transferred. Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta said this while addressing a gathering during the Valmiki Jayanti celebrations in Valmiki Colony, Ward 20, Jammu. Gupta said it is a dream come true for those who were earlier victims of the prejudice of successive governments who ruined the future of many people under the guise of Article 370. He said that it is intolerable that political parties with a particular mindset have dedicated themselves to each other over the years to sabotage the interests of the above-mentioned communities in the Union Territory. The BJP, after realising their evil intentions, took revolutionary steps to fulfil the wishes of the WPR, Gorkhas, Valmiki Samaj, and others so that justice can be done in Jammu and Kashmir without any prejudice or discrimination.

BH Gupta greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Valmiki Jayanti. He stressed the enduring relevance of Maharishi Valmiki’s teachings and their deep impact on society. The senior BJP leader highlighted the timeless wisdom of Maharishi Valmiki, whose thoughts on social equality and harmony will continue to serve as guideposts for our society. He said that Valmiki’s teachings were beyond time and were not bound by the boundaries of any particular era. Instead, they remain a source of inspiration and wisdom that is as in tune with contemporary society as it was in ancient times. He encouraged people to take inspiration from the life and teachings of the great saint and promote the spirit of unity, compassion, and understanding in our diverse society.
