Vice President Venkaiah Naidu held bilateral and delegation level talks with President of Costa Rica in San Jose, Costa Rica. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu has stressed on combating terrorism with all the collective might.
While addressing a joint press statement with President of CostaRica, vice president said that as one of the most diverse nations of the world, the people of India have practiced peace & harmonious co-existence for thousands of years.
Agreements were signed between India and Costa Rica in various sectors.Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Friday called for strengthening of United Nations including expansion of UNSC, which should include India, to make it more representative and effective.
Venkaiah Naidu made the remarks after receiving an honorary doctorate by the University of Peace founded by the United Nations for his contribution “to the rule of law, democracy and sustainable development in India”. He is the first Indian to receive an honorary doctorate from this varsity in San Jose, Costa Rica.
