Islamic State adapting to military pressure by shifting to ‘dark web’
The UN political chief warned on Tuesday that Islamic State terrorist cluster is adapting to increasing military pressure by shifting to the “dark net.”
Jeffrey Feltman, the UN secretary-general for political affairs, made the remarks once he was informing the global organization Security Council on the global organization chief’s latest report on the threat expose by the IS to international peace and security.
Feltman said that IS was adapting in many ways in which to military pressure by resorting to progressively covert communication and enlisting ways, including by victimisation the “dark net,” encryption and messengers.
The report stressed that IS was on the defensive militarily in several regions.
