Incessant rain claims 21 lives in Nepal

In Nepal, incessant rain wreaked havoc and claimed 21 lives so far.10 persons have been missing and 10 others are injured due to flood and landslides triggered by continues rainfall in different parts of the country since Thursday.

Our correspondent reports that Tarai region is the worst affected. Normal life has been affected in various parts of Himalyan nation due to continuous rainfall. Many areas of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur were submerged in rain water on Friday.

In Tarai, hundreds of houseshave been damaged by rain and thousands of people shifted to safer places. Many highways were also blocked due to floods and landslides.

Meanwhile, rescue and relief operation is underway in full swing.Water level in various rivers is increasing and some are flowing above the danger level at few places.

People living on the banks of rivers and nearby areas have been advised to be on high alert. According to weathermen rain is likely to continue for next couple of days.
