Sri Lanka PM not afraid to testify before the PSC probing Easter Sunday attacks
Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has said that he will testify before the Parliamentary Select Committee ( PSC) appointed to inquire into the Easter Sunday attacks.
In a special statement issued last evening, the Prime Minister said he was called before the Committee and he is not afraid to go before it and reveal what he knows. The prime minister accepted intelligence information on the attack was not communicated properly to the relevant units and PSC has been set up to look into the failure of intelligence communication.
His comments came as President Maithripala Sirisena has rejected the utility of PSC proceedings terming it as drama.Srilankan PM however said the PSC will discover the truth. He said they do not expose the truth targeting particular individuals or political parties but take action to prevent it from happening in future.
Several key officials have already testified before the PSC in presence of media which President has been critical of.
