In Jammu and Kashmir, situation remained peaceful across the State especially Kashmir Valley where restrictions have been eased in some more areas. Middle schools in the Kashmir valley reopened today. earlier the primary school in the valley reopened on Monday. Telephone services have been restored to great extent. After the abrogation of Article 370 in jammu and Kashmir, restrictions are gradually being lifted in the state and normalcy is fast returning. After primary schools, secondary educational institutions also opened on Wednesday.
Police lifted the restriction in areas in kashmir where no untoward incident was reported. Barricades in the busy Lal chowk area in Kashmir were lifted after 15 days on Tuesday..vehicles were also allowed to ply in this busy commercial area thus, easing the situation for people.
telephone services have also resumed in the state. 73000 landline connections are functional and the administration is working overtime to ensure the remaining connections become operational. The valley was again abuzz with activities as the markets reopened and vehicles began plying on the roads..Operations resumed at the srinagar airport and teh srinagar-jammu national highway was also opened for traffic..Attendance at government offices has also improved.

Meanwhile, 101 Hajis from Srinagar arrived back home. The administration ensured they faced no inconvenience on their return.
Meanwhile in baramula , 1 lashkar-e -taiba terorrist was killed in the clash with security forces. A special police official also attained martyrdom in the clash and a sub inspector was injured.. This was the first untoward incident reported in the state after the abrogationof article 370 .The slain terorrist was a resident of Baramulla.he was part of an outfit affiliated to lashkar and was actively involved in many terorrist activities..arms and ammunition have been recovered from the clash site.
