Britain PM Boris Johnson makes final Brexit offer
With Brexit deadline moving closer and closer, Britain Prime Minister has stepped up the process of leaving the European Union with or without deal.
In a letter sent by the British PM to European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, Johnson said he wanted a new deal but it was negotiated by the October 17-18 summit.
He also enclosed a seven-page explanatory note about the “fair and reasonable” proposals, for dealing with the Irish border after Brexit.
According to a UK official, Johnson has also spoken with EU President, Juncker, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar concerning his new Brexit deal.
Committed to slove the Irish dispute, Johson proposed he document said the proposals would provide for the potential creation of an all-island regulatory zone on the island of Ireland covering all goods, would ensure the integrity of the European Union Single Market and would be in keeping with the 1998 Good Friday peace deal.
