2th CII-EXIM Bank Conclave on India-Africa Partnership from March 9 to 10
The 12th edition of CII-EXIM Bank Conclave is scheduled to be held in New Delhi on March 09-10, 2017 at Hotel Taj Palace, Sardar Patel Marg, New Delhi. The Conclave is being organized by CII-EXIM Bank in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. The India-Africa Framework for Strategic Cooperation, issued at the Third India-Africa Forum Summit held in October 2015, recognized this India-Africa project partnership Conclave as a platform for bringing together Indian and African entrepreneurs & decision makers and sought its continuation.
The Conclave is an annual event witnessing the participation of high-level official and business delegations from African countries. This year, the King of Swaziland His Majesty, Mswati – III, and the Prime Minister of Uganda Dr Ruhakana Rugunda, are expected to attend the event as Guests of Honour. We also expect 33 Ministerial level participation and 400 international delegates from 37 African countries in the Conclave.
The Conclave will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Rashtrapatiji on March 9. At the inaugural, there will be special addresses by Minister of State for External Affairs, Gen Dr. V.K. Singh (Retd.) and Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman. The Guests of Honour will also address the Conclave.
Business-to-business meetings are being organised as part of the Conclave apart from several sessions covering various sectors such as Trade & Investment, Development Partnership, Agriculture, Health, Infrastructure, Power, Skill Development, Irrigation, Water Supply, Small & Medium Enterprises, Rural Electrification, Railways etc. Minister of State for External Affairs Shri M.J Akbar, will address the Valedictory Session on March 10, 2017 while the Speaker of Parliament, Republic of Ghana Rt. Hon. Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye, would be the Guest of Honour.
