Here are Prime Minister Modi’s opening remarks:
“I am very pleased to have the opportunity to speak with you through this Virtual Summit. First of all I would like to express my condolences for the loss suffered by Denmark due to COVID-19. I would like to commend your skilled leadership in tackling this crisis.
Of all the engagements where you can find the time for this conversation, it shows your particular focus and commitment to our interactions.
You were recently married. My congratulations and congratulations and hope that as soon as the COVID-19 post improves we will have the opportunity to welcome you with your family in India. I am sure your daughter Ida will definitely be interested to visit India again.
We had a very productive discussion on the phone a few months ago. We discussed in many areas ways to enhance cooperation between India and Denmark.
