High Commission of India launches special edition wristwatches for Mujib Shatabdi year in Dhaka
A limited edition special edition wristwatch for the Mujib Centenary ‘Mujib Borsho’ was released in Kaka on Tuesday. The limited edition special edition clocks designed and launched by the High Commission of India were unveiled by Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader and High Commissioner of India Vikram Doraiswamy of Bangladesh.
The watches in this limited edition series include portraits of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his signature indicating the timeliness of the Bangabandhu message and its lasting impression, the High Commission of India said in a press release issued on the occasion.
On the occasion, Road Transport Minister Obaidul Quader recalled the history of the liberation war, which was the bed on which India-Bangladesh bilateral relations were built. While High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswamy, Bangabandhu is the father of Bangladesh, he also stressed that he is a hero to the Indian people.
