India and Bangladesh police to enhance work against terrorist entities

The police forces of India and Bangladesh will enhance their work against terrorist entities including the Global Terrorist Groups as well as other fugitives wherever they are present and active.

The decision was taken during the delegation level dialogues between the police chiefs of India and Bangladesh held virtually on Tuesday.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday, the two sides discussed ongoing bilateral cooperation and decided to further strengthen the relationship of the police forces between the two countries. As a step forward, both the countries decided to set up ‘nodal points’ for timely and effective handling of the situation and response to existing as well as emerging security and counter-terrorism challenges.
