Description of attacks as xenophobic, racial ‘unfortunate’
Asserting that the Indian Government is committed to ensure safety of African nationals, the Ministry of External Affairs has said that terming the attack on Nigerian nationals in UP’s Greater Noida as ‘xenophobic and racial’ was ‘unfortunate’.
Reacting to Dean of the African Group Head of the Missions’ statement on attacks on Africans MEA said Greater Noida incident was ‘unacceptable’ and that the government condemned it.
It added that investigations into the matter are ongoing. The ministry asserted that the government is committed to ensuring safety and security of all foreign nationals in India, including African nationals.
