Government aiming to make Northeast a gateway to Southeast Asia; addressing the centenary celebrations of Bharat Sevashram Sangha in Shillong, Prime Minister says huge investments in the offing for overall development of the region.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said, development of the North East region is a top priority for his government with special focus on connectivity and infrastructure.
Addressing the centenary celebrations of the Bharat Sevashram Sangha in Shillong through video conference PM urged them to work towards “Swachhagrah”, especially in North-Eastern India.
Announcing that the Northeast would soon be connected with the UDAN scheme, PM Modi said small airports were also being developed in the region.
