South Korea suggests military talks with North Korea
To resolve the hostile acts of military border, South Korea suggests a discussion with North Korea. This is the first time where the first formal proposal to Pyongyang by the government of President Moon Jae-in.
The proposal comes after the NK claimed to have directed the first test of an intercontinental ballistic missile and said it had mastered the technology to mount a nuclear warhead on the missile.
The Defence minister of the South Korea proposed talks with the North on July 21 at Tongilgak.
The last such talks were held in December 2015.
