Israeli Prime Minister summons diplomats of UNSC members over settlement vote
Jerusalem: Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu on December 25 summoned ambassadors of the UN Security Council member countries for a reproof over a West Bank settlements resolution.
The diplomats were required to arrive at the ministry’s headquarters in Jerusalem on December 25, even though the Christmas and Sunday holiday, the Ministry released a statement.
10 ambassadors were expected in Britain, Jerusalem, of France, China, Russia, Japan, Spain, Egypt, Ukraine,Angola, and Uruguay.
The move was part of a diplomatic and economic price that Netanyahu vowed to exact from countries who maintained the historic motion to end the Israeli settlements in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
In the weekly cabinet meeting, Netanyahu continued to slam at US President Barack Obama for not using the US veto to prevent the vote.
Israel countered furiously, immediately rejecting the motion and slamming it as an anti-Israeli move.
