The first ever Foreign Office Consultations between India and Uganda held
The first ever Foreign Office Consultations between India and Uganda were held on 30 April 2018 in Kampala.
The Indian side was led by Dr. Neena Malhotra, Joint Secretary (East & Southern Africa), Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi and the Ugandan side was led by Mr. Arthur Kafeero, Director for Regional & International Political Affairs, MoFA, Uganda.
During the FOCs, the two sides held deliberations on the entire gamut of bilateral relations, including political, trade, investments, defence, agriculture, Lines of Credit, human resource development and capacity building initiatives. India reiterated its commitment to partner with Uganda in its quest for national development and economic growth. The two sides also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest at regional and multilateral levels, including cooperation at UN and other International Organizations.
