PM to visit Indonesia and Singapore from May 29 to June 2; Will hold bilateral talks with Indonesian President and deliver keynote address at Shangri La Dialogue in Singapore.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Indonesia and Singapore from 29th May to 2nd June during which he will hold bilateral talks with leaders of both the nations on key issues, including the defence sector. The visit takes forward India’s Act East policy whereby relations with ASEAN countries will be further strengthened.
The Prime Minister is also likely to sign key agreements in various sectors with both the nations. On his first official visit to Indonesia on 29th May the PM ‘s agenda will include a number of important programs.
PM Modi will meet Indonesian President Joko Widodo with whom he will hold bilateral talks.
The Prime Minister will pay tributes at the Kalibata National Hero cemetery in Jakarta.
He will also address a gathering of the Indian community there. Also on the agenda is an address to a forum of top businessmen. Further, the PM will inaugurate a kite festival that will reflect the common theme of Ramayana and Mahabharata, showcasing cultural links between the two countries.
