Nepal SBI Bank Ltd completes 25 years of its operations in Nepal
The Nepal SBI Bank Ltd has completed 25 years of its operations in Nepal.
As part of Silver Jubilee celebrations bank has rolled out number of new initiative.
Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri and Chairman of the bank Sujit Kumar Varma inaugurated branch-less banking service in Kathmandu last evening.
The branch-less banking provides banking services to the target customers through a device without establishing physical branch.
It is a cheaper alternative to conventional branch based banking and will be very beneficial for the people living in far flung and geographically difficult areas.
The latest version of “PARI” a humanoid Robot was also unveiled. PARI is an interactive robot that can recognize human faces and assist them by responding to their queries.
Ambassador Puri congratulated Nepal SBI for its significant contribution for better life and healthier economy in Nepal.
He said that bank has played an important role in strengthening bonds between India and Nepal.
The Nepal SBI Bank Ltd was established in 1993 as a subsidiary of State Bank of India with paid up capital of Rs.12 crore. Now it has become one of the leading bank in Nepal having Rs.805 crore paid up capital and over 8 lakh customers.
Union HRD Minister to inaugurate World Sanskrit Conference in Canada
Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar will inaugurate the 17th World Sanskrit Conference to be held at Vancouver, Canada from 9th July to 13th July, 2018.
More than 500 scholars and delegates from over 40 countries will be participating in this conference and exchange their knowledge by presenting papers on various subjects followed by discussions from amongst the members.
The purpose of this conference is to promote, preserve and practice the Sanskrit language all over the world by the people.
