Rajnath seeks report on BSF jawan’s video
In another example of the proactive and responsive attitude of the government, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has sought a report from the home secretary in the case of a selfie-video of a BSF Jawan that has gone viral.
He tweeted that he has seen the video and has sought an explanation. In the video a jawan, deployed along the Indo-Pak border in Jammu and Kashmir, has alleged that troops are served bad quality food.
BSF has initiated an enquiry and sent a DIG-rank officer to look into the matter. In a statement, BSF has said that the jawan has a history of indiscipline related issues.
MoS Home Kiren Rijiju too took to Twitter saying that the matter is being taken seriously and that he has found high levels of satisfaction amongst jawans during regular visits to border posts.
He added that welfare of Security Forces guarding the borders & other difficult areas are high on priority and any anomaly will be dealt with firmly.
