On a visit to India, Japan’s defence minister calls on PM Modi
Visiting Japanese defence minister Itsunori Onodera called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Monday.
The visit is aimed at strengthening military cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the sphere of maritime space, especially with China’s growing influence in the Indian Ocean.
He would later hold discussions with defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman on a range of bilateral issues.
