Pak double speak on terror exposed again
Since Saturday, Pakistan has been taking heavy fire from India at the international stage of the United Nations over its two-faced approach to terrorism. First it was External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj who lambasted Pakistan for allowing terror mastermind Hafiz Saeed to roam freely on its soil. Just a day later it was India’s Permanent Mission to UN Councellor Eenam Gambhir who dismissed Pakistan’s claims related to India in her right to reply over Pak Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s speech. And to make matters worst for New Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan, his own minister was caught on videotape sharing stage with Saeed.
Saturday saw India once again exposing the true face of Pakistan on terrorism. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj pointing out that a person like Hafiz Saeed..branded as a terrorist by the international community..still roams freely in Pakistan under its protection..
But these pictures make it clear that international shaming and isolation have made no difference to Pakistan. New Pak PM Imran Khan’s cabinet minister Noor-Ul-Haq Qadri can be clearly seen sharing the stage with Lashkar-e-Toiba founder Hafiz Saeed..The event was an all party conference titled ‘In Defence of Pakistan’ and its banner mentioned Kashmir and India’s threats.
India also gave a resounding reply to Pakistan at the UN stage after its foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi trageted India in his general debate speech.
India termed the Pak FM’s reference to India and the 2014 Peshawar school attack in his speech as a “despicable insinuation”. Which dishonours the memory of the children killed in the terror attack.
India’s Permanent Mission to UN Counsellor Eeman Gambhir during India’s right to reply hit back hard at Pakistan dismissing its charges.
Gambhir also trashed Pakistan’s claims of combating terrorism..She asked if Pakistan can deny that it is the “host and patron” of 132 of the UN-designated terrorists and 22 terrorist entities listed under the UN Security Council sanctions regimes.
With Qureshi again raking up the Kashmir issue, Gambhir asserted that India is making it clear to the “new government” of Pakistan that the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir is and will remain an integral part of India.
The country’s Permanent Mission to UN Councellor also trashed Pakistan for saying New Delhi called off New York meet of foreign ministers on flimsy grounds.
Though Imran Khan had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposing the meeting. India cancelled it when Pakistan’s double speak of terrorism resurfaced. It not only issued postage stamps glorifying terrorists but its troops brutally killed a BSF jawan in cross border infringement.
