Encounter breaks out in Shopian
In Jammu and Kashmir, an encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists at village Sangran of Imam Sahib in Shopian district early this morning.
The gunfight started after security forces launched cordon and search operation following input about the presence of terrorists in the area.
As the security forces zeroed in on the suspected area, the hiding terrorists opened fire leading to the encounter.
Security forces said, at least three terrorists are believed to be trapped in the residential area.
