South African President Cyril Ramaphosa is arriving in New Delhi
President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa is arriving in New Delhi on a two-day visit to India. He will be the Chief Guest at the Republic Day Parade.
President Ramaphosa will be accompanied by the First Lady Dr. Tshepo Motsepe, and a high level delegation including nine Ministers, senior officials of his Government and a 50-member business delegation. President Ramaphosa will be accorded a ceremonial reception at Rashtrapati Bhawan. Later, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ramaphosa will hold delegation level talks on bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest. Thereafter, the two countries will sign agreements in different fields.
South African President’s visit is expected to further strengthen and enhance the close relationship between India and South Africa. President Ramaphosa along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the India-South Africa Business Forum with the objective to grow business ties between the two countries. The visiting President will also deliver the first IBSA Gandhi-Mandela Freedom Lecture. Ramaphosa is the second President of South Africa after President Nelson Mandela to be the Chief Guest at the Republic Day parade..
